“Alone Together” is the debut album by Danish-Swedish saxophonist and vocalist Johanna Linnea Jakobsson. Combining the stylistic and instrumental elements from jazz with her personal take on the singer-songwriter genre, she creates a unique cross-over universe that is entirely her own. The album features Johanna’s compositions as well as personal renditions of well known classics, from Duke Ellington to The Beatles.

Working together the acoustic and improvisational elements of jazz with simple pop-esquecompositions, the album is an exploration in co-existing without needing to compromise. It’s a study in mixing different components, in making all of the individual mosaic pieces shine at their brightest when combined. Furthermore, the title can be interpreted as a subtle tribute to the fact that even though these recent years have forced us all to be a part - to be alone - at least we’ve all been in it together.
