Get Your Goat is a young jazz quartet, playing and performing the music of Oslo based trumpet-player Øyvind Mathisen. The band was started in 2018 at the prestigious jazz-academy in Trondheim, Norway and has since been touring Norway and Scandinavia. Get Your Goat represents the latest generation of engaging Scandinavian jazz musicians, for whom we can expect many great musical experiences in the future.

The drumless setting gives the band a unique sound and a generous amount of creative space to work within, and blends complex chamber-arrangements with driving, intense swing and melodies inspired by jazz legends like Thelonious Monk and Lennie Tristano.
