AMP Music & Records AS estb. 2014, is a record label based in Oslo, Norway.

AMP is the combination of an acronym and an abbreviation; the acronym for Ambitious Mindful Projects, and the abbreviation for AMPlify. The combination of these words encapsulate the true vision of AMP Music & Records. We are committed to bring ambition and mindfulness to all of our projects and we strongly believe that this will amplify every part of the process that goes into making music, and in turn records.

Our main focus is on jazz, with an emphasis on Nordic jazz and Nordic jazz artists. But, we do not limit ourselves when it comes to music and we do not wish to limit ourselves in our catalogue. To us, great music is great music!   

We believe in artists that have a sound understanding of their own unique musical personas; that approach music with humbleness and joy; artists that seek excitement in their musical endeavours, and we also take a keen interest in supporting young upcoming jazz talents from the Nordic countries. 

AMP Music & Records  strongly believe in teamwork, and we commit ourselves to provide an excellent guiding hand in everything we choose to produce. 

We choose to build strong relationships with a handful of what we believe are the best studios in Europe, and work closely with Rainbow Studio in Oslo, Norway, among others.

AMP Music & Records has full international distribution of physical releases through Musikkoperatørene with the exception of Japan that is distributed by Inpartmaint, and full digital distribution through Believe Music. We continuously work on expanding our distribution network to maximise the exposure of our artists and releases.
