Town Street Reloaded - Seekers in the Sky
Town Street Reloaded - Seekers in the Sky
(CD)
Town Street Reloaded was formed on the wave of emotion caused by the release of records such as Decoy and Tutu, which shocked the jazz language in the eighties. Starting from there, as inspiration, as well as from Steps Ahead, the quintet tried to find its own path by overcoming musical genres.
“The Town Street style” is immediately recognisable, even if many years have passed since the first album, a sound determined by the almost forty-year study of triads with different bass, played for the first time by Barry Finnerty in Miles Davis' group upon his return to the scene.
As always, leader Massimo Ruscitto proposes his personal interpretation of jazz, trying to develop an alternative structure to the very classic AABA, with a structure that adapts every time to the melody of the theme, the true polar axis for our compositions.
