The music of SUPERHEAVY. was born out of desire to write and play nordic jazz music in a piano trio setting, but it turned out to be is something quite different. SUPERHEAVY. is a melting pot of bass player and leader Daniel Andersson’s ideas who sources inspiration from genres all across the board!

Andersson's music draws inspiration from a number of genres and ideas from all over the spectrum. From the clearly nordic sounds and improvisations of Heart Watcher and I Thought I Saw to the borderline metal theme of Kafo, SUPERHEAVY. goes where the music takes them. ”I would like to think that music always benefits from the need to reflect the person creating it, no matter where the inspiration comes from”, Andersson says in an interview.
