Sandra Borøy - Paralleller
Sandra Borøy - Paralleller
(LP)
Sandra Borøy’s second album, “Paralleller" is filled with unique depictions of one or more human beings' lives, which can happen simultaneously.
The music and lyrics contain both clear and concrete lines, as well as peculiar and thoughtful abstractions. The soundscape feels close, organic and playful – sometimes soft, sometimes hard, sometimes big and sometimes small – just like the human voice. With this, she hopes to reflect a breadth of humanity and contribute to make a greater understanding for each other.
"Paralleller" shows a clear development from Borøy's previous album, with its expanded line-up and this time layer on layer-recording approach. Among other things, Borøy shares more of her self as a pianist and vocal arranger in this production.
