Laupsa Lokomotiv is a modern jazz sextet in the acoustic landscape; improvised, rhythmic, resonant, and explorative. The band is composed of young Norwegian musicians, each with their own unique musical qualities and personality, and together they create a vibrant collective. Our music is playful, exploratory, rhythmically captivating, melodic, outgoing, and inquisitive.

Waysigns is a bold and mature step forward for a jazz sextet in constant development and exploration. The music is transparent, honest, and delves into interpersonal and personal themes such as joy, ambition, frustration, grief, and humility. With a warm subcurrent of personal revelations and spirituality, a belief in something greater and eternal, this album reflects the broad spectrum of a young life.
