Trondheim-based drummer Frederik Villmow has assembled some of his favorite musicians for this exciting debut recording, which also features one of Europe’s most renowned tenor saxophonists, Tomas Franck.

Recorded LIVE at legendary Jazzhus Montmartre in Copenhagen, the group presents compositions written by Frederik Villmow and Tomas Franck, as well as two ballads from the Great American Songbook. One of Denmark´s most prominent saxophonist, Tomas Franck (born in 1958 in Helsingborg and based in Copenhagen), is the featured guest on this album.

The essence of Frederik Villmow Quartet is about creating music in the moment, telling stories and about taking risks.
