Contemporary Old School is the debut album of Cecilie Grundt Quintet. The band has been playing together on the professional Norwegian jazz scene for more than three years, developing an original sound as well as a strong communicative interplay through playfulness and curiosity.

The quintet was established by Cecilie Grundt in 2016, and features musicians from different parts of Norway: Cecilie comes from Stavanger, Øyvind comes from Oslo, Håvard comes from Kongsberg, and both Morten and Åsmund come from Trondheim. 

All of the musicians have background from the jazz department at Trondheim Music Conservatory, NTNU.
