«Venture» is the debut album of young, up-and-coming Norwegian jazz drummer Amund Kleppan. The use of highly structured chord progressions and melodies, combined with distinct improvisation will carry listeners on an intense journey of both melancholy and rapture, with songs composed to reach further than the audience’s ears.

On this debut album, Amund Kleppan has assembled a unique group of international musicians. Despite their youth, these musicians are renowned among their colleagues throughout Europe. You are sure to see more of these young musicians on the international jazz scene in the near future.

«Venture» takes inspiration from a diverse blend of both modern American jazz, and the melancholic avant-jazz of Berlin, encompassed by an open and warm nordic sound. Bubbling underneath the melody, listeners will hear the detailed and intimate musical interactions between musicians.
