Quiet Quartet is a modern jazz quartet with a repertoire of original pieces sung in Italian and inspired by jazz and Italian songwriting music.

The songs are created with extreme attention to details, to nuances of sound and to the suggestion of lyrics. Each member of the group brings their individuality in search for a sound which is intimate, personal, joint and profound, but also playful and carefree. The songs can be perceived as simple or more complex syllable games; the rhythmic repertoar is varied between ballads and fast songs, the imagery is always different and full of continuous movements of sound.

Most of the songs are inspired by the idea of two different souls that belong to the same person and that are trying to get together as one. These opposite and different parts sometimes do manage to get together, as in Verso noi 2 or Unione, but sometimes they don’t, as we can hear in Se Verrà or Con Nostalgia. There are also other songs that are inspired by a more abstract unconscious, like Sogno Lucido, but we can stil feel the presence of the idea of a research and reconciliation. We can detect these elements in Tempo di partire.
