Sandra Borøy's whimsical melodies, easy-to-play voice and improvisational expressions entice the listener completely on the edge of their seat. Since she was little, she has been fascinated with hecommunication skills and presence on stage - with a steady calm and unique ability to set text and melodic lines in front. The soundscape can be experienced organically, almost tactilely, and best frames the unconventional musical choices she makes. Musically you can discover her fascination with Esperanza Spalding's playful and intricate lines, the thematic forms of instrumental music and the expressive energy of the soul genre. Her need to constantly rediscover their music and lyrics means that the sound image always keeps his nerve, and never stagnates.
Together with her fellow musicians Simen Skrebergene (guitar), Idar Eliassen Pedersen (trumpet, flugelhorn), Asle Bråthen (bass) and Marius Trøan Hansen (drums), it is created a close and playful energy, which can be placed in a Nordic jazz expression. The band has played together since 2019, and perform the songs as a unit and follow up the musical matter to the fingertips.
